Operation House Call makes families and individuals with I/DD the instructors teaching medical professionals’ essential skills to enhance the health care of individuals with I/DD. The program centers around an experiential learning opportunity – a two-hour home visit to a family with a child with I/DD.

Two online modules for nursing/medical students that provide case studies and practical tools regarding the health of people with I/DD and how to better communicate better with patients.

 A series of four online courses developed AUCD and The Arc that overview competencies that public health programs should include to ensure that people with I/DD are included in programs.

By creating an Oral Health Awareness Day and dental office open house, The Arc of Luzerne Co created a successful two-part model to help identify and assist dental professionals in creating a disability-friendly culture within their practice.

Developed by The Arc Gloucester, Healthfully Yours teaches organizations how to implement monthly health themed events that offer peer and community socialization, fundamental health and wellness education, and stimulating hands-on activities that promote independence.
