DRIVING CHANGE AND PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES
Registration Is Open for the 2020 Disability Policy Seminar!
The Disability Policy Seminar in Washington, DC arms advocates, self-advocates, experts, and professionals with important information and tools to champion for disability rights on Capitol Hill. Attendees meet for two days of sessions, followed by Capitol Hill visits to bring high-priority issues to members of Congress. This year’s event will take place March 23-25. Will we see you there?
Did you know Census Day is April 1st? The census seeks to include every individual living in the United States, but many people with disabilities are historically left out of the count—harmfully impacting funding, services, and supports. The Arc has created free resources to support people with disabilities and beyond in understanding what the census is, why it’s important for people with disabilities, and how to complete it. Make sure you and your community are ready to be counted! Los recursos también son disponibles en español!
The Arc fights every day to protect civil rights and access to vital programs, such as Medicaid, for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). But we can’t do it alone! We need the help of people with I/DD, their families, and allies of the cause.
Sign up today to receive updates on our movement, take action, and make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
