DRIVING CHANGE AND PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES
Do you have valuable experience and ideas to share with The Arc’s network? You’re invited to submit a proposal for our 2020 National Convention! This year’s event will take place in New Orleans, LA from October 26 – 28. The deadline to submit a proposal is April 10.
The census seeks to include every individual living in the United States, but many people with disabilities are historically left out of the count—harmfully impacting funding, services, and supports. The Arc has created free resources to support people with disabilities and beyond in understanding what the census is, why it’s important for people with disabilities, and how to complete it. Make sure you and your community are ready to be counted. Los recursos también son disponibles en español!
The Arc fights every day to protect civil rights and access to vital programs, such as Medicaid, for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). But we can’t do it alone! We need the help of people with I/DD, their families, and allies of the cause.
